It's MONDAY.....I hurt my back on Friday at work so came home and camped out on the couch with a book, my Motrin and a heating pad most of the weekend. I did not touch the computer once all weekend. (Jim says I must have been hurting, I'm always on it) Anyways, I feel much better, yesterday I caught up, a little grocery shopping, a little other shopping and baked apple tarts. There was a book fair at a local hotel here, the local weekly paper puts one on every fall for all the local authors and book stores. I picked up another Ghost book by David Pitkin, he writes about real ghosts, I have all his local ghost books and he just put Volume 2 of New York State Ghosts. It makes for interesting reading, especially when you can say "Hey I know where that is, or I've been there" Also picked one up that my former minister wrote. Can't wait to start that one. I started the Ghost one first cause that's pretty fast reading. We had a sale at the hospital on Thursday and Friday--they invite different vendors in throughout the year and this one was books, soaps, games, CD's, etc. I got 2 of my nephews, my niece, sister in law, some of Shannon, Rob and Kristine's Christmas shopping done. It's nice cause they let you spread the payments out over 3 paychecks, or you can pay cash or charge it. I'd tell you what great deals I got but some of those people read this blog.....
Have to catch up on MM's too cause I neglected that over the weekend also. Just finished reading all the blogs that I follow. On a good note, my girlfriend's son is getting out of the Army near Thanksgiving--he's done 5 years, had enough, spent almost a year in Iraq. Julie and Tom are happy.
Gas has come down--it's $2.87 here in town, slightly higher elsewhere in the area. I feel like I can afford to drive again.
Guess that's all for now. HUGS to all.

Glad your back is feeling better.
I made apple crisp for dessert his evening. And.....our gas is $2.41. I can't believe it.
Karen,
You better take care of that back. Sounds like you are feeling better (i.e. shopping!).

Hi Karen,
Looks like there is a MM convention right here in your blog Karen. :)
This mom has been remiss in visiting my favorite blogs - seems like there's always so much to do. But I am glad that your back is better too. And oh how I envy your starting your Christmas shopping, Karen. I might make it by Christmas Eve. I usually have a lot done by now.
Take care of your back ok? Enjoy your books.
God bless you and Jim...hugs to you my friend.
