The Adirondack Balloon Festival started yesterday. We went to Crandall Park late yesterday afternoon to watch the balloons go up.(Sue I added the Letchworth balloon just for you) It was a bit breezy so only a couple actually lifted off, others just inflated then deflated. Ran into my "little" brother and his family (Slim is 40 ! and about 9 inches taller than me). Shannon and Meric (his youngest) loved the balloons. Colson his oldest, well...not so thrilled. Shannon though doesn't like the gas burners when they touch them off to inflate the balloons. We had a great time.
She gets very scared when the fire sirens go off--they are only across the street from our home and so they are loud. She runs screaming to whomever is closest to her.
Early night for her, she was tired from all the running around and fresh air she got. Actually asked to go to bed last night. But up early this morning--6:30am. I see a nap in the not too distant future.
Not sure what we are doing today--I have a meeting at work this afternoon so will see.
Have a wonderful day.

The balloons are beautiful. Dean would have loved them. When I was little we live not too terribly far from the state fair grounds and every year they would have a hot air balloon race, The balloons would go right over our house. It was always a highlight of our summer to go lay in the middle of our yard and watch the colorful balloons fly over us.
