The ultrasound says we are having another granddaughter. I'm excited......so is Jim. Her name (at least as of now) will be Olive Lenore. Jim isn't excited about the Olive part but they wanted an old fashioned name and after picking that discovered that Lauren has a great aunt with that name and my great grandmother (whose home I currently live in) was named Olive also. Let the shopping begin !!!! I have the all the car seats still except for the infant one and the high chair. The stroller bit the dust so will garage shop for one for me and a probably a pack and play this time around instead of a crib but we will see. Since they aren't here like when Shannon was born I can't justify a crib, though I do have the mattress still. I'll see what I can find in the yard sales here.
I also have a new job !! I interviewed the day before I started vacation and she called me the day we got back from camping. I accepted the position and called my current director -- she's upset that I'm leaving, made a counter offer which I refused. It's time. I love training new hires but my new supervisor doesn't know the job and I'm having trouble working like that. There are other issues too but this isn't the place for them so it's time to move on. I'll still be at the hospital but scheduling appointments in the Cancer Treatment Center for one of the docs and the genetic counselor. I'm very excited, I start August 15th. I do miss scheduling and having patient contact so am happy to be back doing that.
Busy planning our trip to Maine. Lighthouse Day is September 17th and we get there on the 16th so hope to get to 2 this year. Portland Head and Portland Breakwater. That will be fun. Also planning a day in Freeport at the LL Bean store and others that are there, a day in Kittery at the outlets, and Kennebunkport to hopefully spot George and/or Barbara Bush. Some beach walking and lots of relaxing !!!! Of course we have to hit our favorite eateries -- Maine Diner, Wells Steakhouse, and Ronaldo's (that's in North Hampton,NH) LOBSTER here I come.
Not much else, quiet here now that all the company has left. Shannon went home last Friday, Jody left on Wednesday. Enjoy your weekend all.

Hope the new job is going well for you. Seems we always know when it's time for a change - that's how it was when I retired. It was time.
Enjoy the new challenges - something tells me you are GREAT with challenges.
Ahhh, baby girl shopping. Have LOTS of fun - and I love that Olive's name has lots of history in yours and Lauren's family.
