We've lost a 2nd soldier this week....he will be buried at Arlington. The first one was buried here in the Gerald B Solomon National Cemetery and what an outpouring of support--the Patriot Guard was present, as well as many citizens just lining the road while the cars made their way to the cemetery. I'm PROUD of the community I live in and the ones nearby--they always show their support and compassion for a soldier and their families.

On a better note...VACATION has started. I drive to Boston to pick up Shannon tomorrow and on Sunday we leave for 10 days of "chillaxing". Almost all packed, a few more things for the fridge and clothes and we are set to go.

I would also like to ask for prayers and good thoughts. I've applied for a new position in a different department. I would be doing authorizations and referrals for the Cancer Treatment Center. I had an interview today and I think it went well. I need a new challenge and a change. My department is getting way too political for me and I don't like being lied to by a manager or director.

See you all in about 10 days, not sure if we have internet access or not. If we do I'll post a little bit and maybe a picture or 2 but otherwise I'll do it when I get home.

Stay safe over the holiday weekend and know my prayers are with you all and especially the soldiers and their families

Karen,
Prayers for this young man's family and friends - a loss felt deeply by you all, no doubt.
Hope you are enjoying every single moment with Jim and Shannon.
Blessings my friend and good luck with the new job opportunity.
Sometimes we just need to move on to something different. I think you would be great with cancer patients because of your compassion and also for the wonderful friend you were to Julie when she was so ill. Prayers for you my friend.
See you when you get home - hugs my friend,
Sue
