I hope everyone has a HAPPY and SAFE Independence Day. Last night Jim and I were over across the street for a campfire and cocktails till the rain drove us indoors. Glad we didn't go camping-our new camping buddies called and said it's mostly rained since they got there Thursday. Not fun. The church bells were just ringing or playing -- God Bless America, sounds beautiful in bells.
I give my THANKS to every soldier, sailor and airman today. Thank you for keeping our country safe. Thank you to those who have served and those serving today.
Now for the kitchen, I have a peach upside down cake to make--my mom's recipe. I've never made it before but peaches sounded so good today that thought I'd give it a try, will let you know how it turns out.
