We had a great weekend--cold but wonderful. The kids arrived on Saturday and we were ready for them. Rob brought us 2 cases full of vegetables from the warehouse he works at, I split them with my sister cause some of the stuff--like lettuce--will go bad before I can use it all. We got lettuce, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, carrots, and more. Saves my grocery bill a little bit this week.
Shannon was so much fun except when she finally went to bed, she was so overtired that she kept crying, Papa finally got her to sleep by rubbing her back at 11pm. She is so smart--wanted yogurt, knew Nana had bought her some when she was here in September and wanted more but I was out. She remembers everything, looked at Papa after her bath and said "HORSEY" cause that was what they did in September, played horsey after bath before bed. On Sunday the big Holiday parade was here, so out we went to the corner to watch it--started with 8 of us and by the time it was half over there was 3 of us left standing there. COLD and windy. But she loved it, got to pet a Shetland pony. Saw Santa, Big Bird, Ernie, Bert, Tweetie Bird, Bugs Bunny and a few others. A lot of the marches throw candy as they walk so she had a sugar high going and Nana had a pocket full when we got home.
I miss her already but Christmas is coming and she'll be back.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE
Remember to set an extra place at your table for that military person who can't make it home this year.

Your post just made me smile! I think Shannon must be about the same age as my granddaughter. Sounds like you all had a blast. Christmas will be here before you know it.
My soldier can't come home for Thanksgiving so for the 2nd year in a row, I'll set a plate!
Happy Thanksgiving,
Betsy
Karen,
Blessings to you and Jim and your family on this Thanksgiving Day.
Hugs to you - I am so thankful to know you as my friend.
Sue
