Jim and I would like to wish all our friends and family a VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING.
We are doing something this year we have never done--we are going out for dinner. I'm NOT cooking !!!! I shouldn't say we have never done this, the year Rob graduated from basic training, he graduated the day before Thanksgiving so we were in Georgia and had to go out. I figure this is different because we aren't being forced to be out, it's a choice. Not sure what I'm going to do tomorrow besides sleep in (I hope). With my parents gone, and Rob not being able to come till Friday because he has to work Thursday night I really didn't see the point of cooking. There's just us and Jim's mom and brother. My sister is cooking for her family, my baby brother has his family and in laws, Jim's sister and niece live in Florida and her son is going to his dad's. I can't cook Thanksgiving dinner for 4---don't think I can cook for less than 10 and even then I have left overs for a week or more.........I will make a chocolate cream pie tomorrow and maybe a pecan one. Jim found me a new recipe for a pumpkin banana mousse tart that I may try (if I have all the ingredients).
My prayers are with all our soldiers and families not able to be together for the holiday.
HUGS to all.

Karen,
Nice idea! I don't think we've ever gone out for Thanksgiving - have done Easter out several times but never Thanksgiving. I hope it was fun and delicious and plentiful.
And besides, where your heart is at Thanksgiving is all that matters. You can give thanks around a table in a restaurant just as easily as you can at home.
Hugs to you and Jim,
Sue
