Christmas pictures, Rob and Shannon on Christmas morning, Shannon is her pretty dress, my youngest nephew Meric and Shannon hugging, and the beautiful cedar chest my brother made for my sister. That was the surprise. The story is that I got my Nana's cedar chest and Kelly was to get my mom's--but it was damaged in the fire when my dad died so as that was the only piece of furniture that Kelly was to get, Slim felt bad for her and decided to put his wood working skills to use. He also used the mahogany that was left from my grandfathers boat yard that he sold over 60 years ago. He did a beautiful job, wish you could see the craftsmanship that went into it. What a gift he has, just like gramps.....
We had a great day having the kids here. They left Saturday morning to go to NH to Kristine's moms house and do it all over again. Then I got a head cold and called in sick on Tuesday, have felt quite a bit better since then.
Now I need to undecorate the house. I want my living room back. This weekend's project. Along with swapping computers around. Jim has a new one, I get his old one and mine goes to the kids. He needs to swap mine out this weekend and then we will dump the hard drives on this one and the kids will get it the next time we go to Boston.
It's now New Years Eve and I want to wish everyone a Very Happy New Year. Be safe if you are going out tonight. Blessings for the coming year from our home to yours.

Karen,
Looks like you had a wonderful Christmas - Shannon is adorable. It's such a blessing to see those happy little faces on Christmas morning, isn't it? And your brother is so gifted - I can imagine how happy your sister was to receive the hope chest.
Blessings and love to you and Jim in this new year.
Hugs my friend,
Sue
