It's Monday again. We are getting snow and winds, but nothing like the coast is getting. It was a reflective weekend. Gail my neighbor brought me over Friendship Bread starter. I haven't done that in a few years. She was telling me her son finally sold his house. So now the packing begins. They move to the little house so son and his family can move into the big house. She has to downsize.....ought to be a great yard sale in the spring. I was telling her about my friend Sue who sold her home and is moving into an RV full time. I just can't imagine sorting through everything and getting rid of the physical memories. Just in Christmas stuff alone I have 7 crates of things. That doesn't include the photo albums, stuff Rob made in school, stuff from my mom's house, etc. I'm not ready for that yet. Maybe in a few years.

I baked a new coffee cake for Jim and his buddy at work--they loved it. Made from a cake mix with instant pudding and sour cream a streusel topping and then I swirled an orange glaze on top. The guys loved it.

NASCAR--what a weekend, blown engines, pit road violations. It was something to watch. Oh wells, maybe next weekend will be better for the drivers.

Have a great week everyone.

Karen,
Oh you have no idea the tug of wars I am having here. Ron said to me Saturday that on Sunday he wanted me to do big things - he wanted a LARGE trash bag full of stuff to throw out. He's gonna have to wait for a full bag cause it's just not happening.
The coffee cake sounds wonderful. Friendship bread just doesn't make it here - I keep thinking that I have added the stuff (or not added the stuff and left it out) and it just doesn't work. I think it worked the second last time I got the mixture. And it was delicious.
Stay warm Karen - hugs to you and JIm.
