It's cleaning day....Jim got a new computer the other day and we set it up in the back bedroom upstairs. He's been slowly taking things off this computer to put on his. I spent today cleaing the den and finding my desk, was bad haven't filed much since December. I hate filing. But it's done now and I have a clean desk and can find things again.
Now my priority is to find a youth bed for Shannon. The girl who gave me her crib took it back today, her nephew is here from Arizona and they needed it for him. I couldn't very well tell her NO when she originally gave it to me at no cost. So now I have a brand new crib mattress and no crib or bed for Shannon.
Bought a new cookbook the other day...The Dean Boys, has lots of great recipes, doing 2 of them tonight. Steak kabobs and a red potato and green bean saute. YUMMY
They had a book sale at work, got some great ones for Shannon. A collection of Winnie the Pooh, a set of know your shapes, colors, letters, animals and numbers, and some plastic animal ones. She loves those. Also picked up a CD set for Rob for Christmas and one for myself that is all "Malt Shop" music--those old enough will know the music that is on it. Great buys.
Jim and I went shopping last weekend, I broke down and bought a new set of pots and pans for the kitchen, that means the old set goes to the camper and that set goes to Rob and Kristine, cause they need them. I now have a set of Kitchen Aid pots and pans. We got the hard anodized set with the glass lids, thought about the stainless steel set but this is easier to keep clean.
Trying not to think about the biopsy on Thursday, but it's tough. What a time to quit smoking...I want one so bad....I haven't had a cigarette in almost a month. Most days it doesn't bother me, but for some reason today it is.
Guess that's all....my prayers are with our military as always.
Have a great weekend everyone

I just found your blog thru Two star Mom's blog comments page. I haven't read past the immediate posts... but... good luck on Thrusday. Breasts! They put us through so much... as teens, as young adults, as mothers, as partners, why, oh why, are they also a source of pain as well as pleasure! I will pray for you! As for the Smoking! GREAT JOB!!! Don't smoke. It is really a bad idea. I smoked for 5 years and I gave it up by my second year of marriage. I have had a few here and there as the last 6 years have passed but what a cost, monetarily and health wise! Good for you, kicking the habit. So go have a great big bowl of frozen yogurt with cool whip and a cherry to replace that cigarette and know that you deserve it! I wish you all the best... I hope this test you fail!

hi Karen,
Isn't it cool how we just keep finding each other?
Sounds like you are keeping busy in the best possible way-SHOPPING!!
NEW POTS AND PANS - HOW AWESOME. Ron, being the main cook around here (until I retire, then I am the boss in the kitchen again:), has bought quite a few new things in the last few years - those will go in the RV when we buy it and Scott will get the others which are not in bad shape at all.
Concerning Thursday, the waiting is so hard but you are not alone - and you ARE in the prayers of so many who love you.
Remember that on Thursday, ok?
Hugs to you and Jim.

Just wanted to tell you I am thinking of you today. I think today is the day for the biopsy. Praying. Let us know when you know something...I know you will.
