Monday morning blues

We had a great weekend, Jim and I left late Saturday morning for Vermont. We did the Rt 7a trip, through all those sleepy little towns. LOTS of people around though for the holiday weekend, and leaf peakers (though the leaves haven't turned mush yet). After Vermont, we went into Lee, MA to the Prime Outlet Mall, then onto Sturbridge where we spent the night. On Sunday after breakfast we went into Boston to visit with the kids and Shannon. When they answered the door, Shannon held her arms out to me to pick her up.....this Nana's heart just melted. We spent the day walking around Boston, some shopping, lots of eating--oh my diet, but that's another story.
Shannon was so much fun, she's walking and so interested in everything. Over at the Aquarium you can stand outside and watch the seals...she giggled when they swan up in front of her. She loved it when Papa took her out of the stroller and let her "kiss" them through the glass.
I was tired and my feet hurt when we left last night, but it so great to sleep in my own bed last night.
My Christmas shopping is almost done. I have 1 nephew and my sister in law to buy for. And I'm sure I'll find some other things for Shannon and her mommy and daddy but for now I'm done. It was a successful trip.
Now for the house, I'm on vacation this week and hope to get some work done around here.

Hi Karen,
I wondered whether you might have gone to Letchworth this past weekend. Glad to know that you saw Shannon and her mom and dad instead. She's such a little sweetie pie..don't forget to share pictures if you can. Christmas shopping...ahhh yes. By this time last year I was well on my way to being done...this year, well, it's going to take some time this year.
God bless you Karen..and of course your family.
Hugs,
Sue
