Thank You isn't enough

Thank you just isn't enough for all the sacrifices our military and their families make.  Some never come home, others come home injured physically and or mentally.  I had a patient today whom a nurse thanked for his service, we were then "rewarded" with a 10 minute dialogue on why no one Thanked him 40 years ago when he got back from Vietnam Nam, what he didn't know was that nurse was there too -- Steve did over a year there as a medic, not pretty.   We have many vets as patients, some they believe are from Agent Orange exposure.
Because my son joined the military prior to 911 we created a unique bond with other parents via the internet when our sons and daughters went to Iraq and Afghanistan.  Many of these I have never met in person but some I have, we still have a part in each other's lives.  We always support each other with lots of prayers, virtual hugs, and more.  How my mom would have loved that when my baby brother was in the Navy during Operation Desert Storm.
I've watched Facebook all day, liking everyone's post about their relatives who served or are serving. It's been amazing this year, not sure why.
THANK YOU to all who served, to those who are still serving, to those families who are missing someone because they gave all.......

How grateful I am for these veterans we love....and for the ones I've never met who keep this country free and safe. For the ones who have gone before us, and those yet to wear a uniform. Many hugs across the miles my friend.
