Wow guess I'm behind--can't believe it's been over a month since I posted here. Time for a little catch up. Shannon's 5th birthday. We went to Rob's Labor Day weekend and toured around Salem,MA for the afternoon then out to dinner and back to their place for cake and presents with Shannon. Busy day but we had a great time.
The following weekend Jim went to Maine for work and I went to another birthday party for a friend's husband and father. Then onto Maine the weekend after that. What a great week we had. Rob, Lauren and Shannon came for the weekend, we visited a couple lighthouses. Ate out a lot --can actually say I don't want lobster for awhile -- ate it almost every day for either breakfast, lunch or dinner.
We went shopping, - Kittery Trading Post, LL Bean, antique stores, craft stores, etc., ate out - Lords Lobster, Bob's Clam Hut, The Steakhouse, Maine Diner , sat on the beach, walked the Marginal Way in Ogunquit, the guys fished one day, we bought lobsters, corn on the cob and taters and did our own lobster steam one night. Good thing we did a lot of walking between the sightseeing and shopping--we walked off most of what we ate.
Home to reality. Back to work, cleaned the house last weekend, washed windows, vacuumed, dusted, re-arranged the living room.
Work is fine. I like my new job, still settling in but getting the hang of how they do things. It will get better once Linda is back and we are full staffed again. I enjoy the patient contact once again but don't like seeing familiar faces. I work in the Cancer Center and too many are high school classmates, former teachers, people I know from church, the neighborhood. It touches us all.
Think I've caught everything up. Will try not to be a stranger again.
HUGS to all
Karen

I loved your update and blog. The pictures are great!
Karen,
AWESOME!! Sounds like you had a wonderful time everywhere. So nice that you saw the kids and Shannon. You all look GREAT!! Hope Lauren is feeling well. Seems like her pregnancy is moving along pretty quickly.
I'm sorry that your job causes you to meet people you know - that must be difficult. But I know that however long they spend with you, you are a blessing to them.
Take good care, Karen. Time passes so quickly and your days are so busy. I can relate about updating our blogs. :-)
Blessings my friend and love to you and Jim,
Sue
