Happy New Year everyone. I actually signed in yesterday but then got busy with Shannon and couldn't back to this.
We had a great Christmas, little different but nice none the less. Rob was here Christmas weekend, I drove to Boston and picked him up then Jim and I drove him back, actually beat the snow storm. We had Jim's mom and brother here also for dinner. That is getting interesting--his mom's dementia is getting worse so makes for frustration overload sometimes.
Kristine and Shannon came out New Years Eve, Kristine left on Saturday morning and had a night to herself, we met today about 1/2 way in Lee,Mass and gave her back Shannon. We spent the weekend playing with Strawberry Shortcake, painting ornaments (Thank you brother and sister in law dear) coloring, playing with Colorforms -- didn't know they still made them, sister found them in a country store in VT. Had a great time but now it's quiet here........
How smart this child is getting, can spell lots of words, we use the foam letters in the bath tub. She can read some words, that makes for interesting reading at bedtime. Saturday we de-Christmasfied the house. After we were done Jim vacuumed the living room with Shannon on the cat perch out of the way yelling GO PAPA GO ! It was so cute, I was hysterical. Who knew you needed a cheering section to vacuum. She leaves for Oregon in a few days with her daddy--they are going on vacation to visit friends. Her first airplane ride so papa got on the internet and found some site that shows an airplane taking off so she could see what is going to happen.
Need to get some dinner in the oven.....Happy New Year and may we all be BLESSED with a good one.
