We have such great friends and neighbors. Last Friday night our "camping buddies" came over here for spaghetti dinner. I had made a HUGE pot of sauce and since Jim and I would spend months eating it all, I invited them to dinner. Gail brought the salad, Teri brought the wine, I made brownies with peanut butter frosting too. We ate and laughed and drank--oh what fun. Tonight was Gail's turn to cook--she did corned beef and cabbage and Irish soda bread. I made banana cheesecake, Ruby brought brownies and Teri did the wine and chocolate chip cookies. We all overate. Then we played Taboo....oh what dun--guys against the girls. We have such fun with these guys. Can't wait for camping season. Only 54 days till Mother's Day weekend which is our first trip of the season. We also have reservations for Memorial Day weekend and are planning a week on the St Lawrence Seaway ending on July 4th. Labor Day is up in the air still but we'll be somewhere and then Columbus Day weekend the same place we were last year.
None of us are going to lose any weight if we keep eating this well. At least we'll be happy.
On another note, I'm on facebook as most of you are also. I got a friend request a bit ago from my "uncle". Bop isn't really my uncle but a really close family friend that we have always since I was a little girl called uncle. What's different is he's over 90 years old !!! and on facebook. He's so cool, comes up from Florida or Alabama every summer to his daughter's camp on the St Lawrence. He drove himself every summer but for the last couple years he's been chauffeured....He still makes the greatest doll houses--started for his granddaughters now the great grands have them also. They are so beautiful.
Guess that's all for now. Bedtime--too full from dinner still.

Hi Karen,
I am so behind in my blogging - and on my facebook and I don't know why except that time is going so quickly. It sounds like you have a wonderful group of "camping buddies" and being good cooks (and enjoying all of the great things you girls provide) sure does help those camping weekends turn out to be so much fun).
Hardly seems possible that it's time for the East coast camping season to begin - but I wish you and Jim and all your friends happy and healthy camping in 2010.
Cute story about Bop...90 and on facebook - may we all be so blessed to be that awareness when we are 90 - not to mention his still having the dollhouse building talent).
Hugs to you and Jim,
Sue
