WOW What a vacation. We got to the campground near Darlington on Thursday and set up, nice state campground, small on a lake but no swimming...too much growth in the lake. We had a water site and that was nice though. WARM..in the 80's the whole time were there. Friday we went to the track for the Nationwide race, bought our shirts, Jim's pin and shotglass. As the sun went down it cooled off a bit but not too cool....Great race. Saturday night was the Sprint Cup race and that was fun. Had a seat right across from my driver's (Carl Edwards) pit box. Couldn't have asked for better. Jim got some great pictures. Late night though and lots of traffic...we got back to the campground about 1:30am. Sunday Mother's Day, was a little rainy but still warm, cleared up in the afternoon. On Monday we packed up and left for Myrtle Beach, got set up there. We had great weather, warm and sunny, nice ocean breeze all week. Sat on the beach, got a sunburn wearing SPF50 lotion!! Ocean was a little cool but I went swimming in the pool there. Read lots and just relaxed. We didn't go anyplace once we got there.
On the way home on Friday we hit Fredricksburg,VA and the temperatuer dropped 23 degrees within 20 minutes!! Went from 83 to 60!! Then we drove in and out of rain, stopped in Carlisle,PA for the night, rainy, damp, and COLD. Got up to 50 degree temps on Saturday morning....Had to wear a sweatshirt all the way home!! Wanted to turn around and head south again.
Gas prices are better down south but still it cost almost $900.00 to go and come home just in gas. Worth it though. The trailer is unpacked, wash is being done and the kitties are very happy to have us home again. Now back to work on Monday.....

As always my prayers are with our military.

Hi Karen,
Bringing up the rear here welcoming you home, but it's so good to see you again. I'm so glad that you and Jim had a good time. Are you enjoying the trailer?
Sorry that the weather turned cold and nasty on you..but if the kitties were happy to see you that counts for something.
Glad you are home....hugs and love to you and Jim.
