Well it was a busy day today. She slept in even after going to bed so early last night. We had breakfast and played some then went to get pictures done for Papa for Father's Day, got to the store where she promptly vomited, so back home, cleaned up and went back. Got some great shots. Then we went to Nana's work and showed off, talked to everyone and begged food, home for a nap that lasted an hour, and played some more, went for a walk, had "gogs"(hot dogs) for dinner. Then Gramma Betty (Jim's mom) came over to babysit.
My sister and I went to a local high school to watch Rachel Ray put a show on. She has done for 7 years now because she graduated from there. It benefits their scholarship fund and a couple other things at school. After the show, which she takes questions all through, you can buy a cook book and she'll autograph it for you and then you can go to the cafeteria and sample the food she cooked. She also gives away all 4 recipes as a handout before the show. During the show they gave away 4 baskets filled with some of her stuff, and a kids sets of cutting boards and scissors, and then to 8 other lucky kids, they gave tapes of her cooking with kids. It was fun, we've always wanted to go and could never get tickets, so this year I was there in line in March on a Saturday at 8am, tickets didn't go on sale till 10am and I was still over 200th in line. She sells out every year. They only sell about 500 tickets.
Well Jim's having a great time in Talladega with Hank and Sue. They've been to the Hall of Fame there, a motorcycle museum and of course all the haulers selling things. He got a poster of Junior Johnson and Junior was the there and autographed it. Said he was real southern gentlemen.
Bed time, Shannon is a ball of fire....
My prayers are with our military.
