WOW, what a party. We had a cookout on Sunday where we are camping, the kids came for the night and family showed up for the day. It was great to see everyone. Shannon is walking and trying to talk--everyone is "DaDa" though. She had a great time with the cake, wore it well. I lifted her out of the highchair and carried her into the tub and held her while her daddy undressed her, the just plopped her in and what a mess the tub was after. It's so nice to see the kids together again and being a family. Besides Nana and Papa, her Meemaw and Pops (my ex and his wife) along with Aunt Kelly, Aunt Jen, cousin Maric, Great grandma Betty, Uncle John.
She will have another party at her grandmother Kathy's for some of Kristine's family and friends and then another party with Kristine's dads family. The child will be partied out.
What a great weekend though--the weather was great and we are that much closer to our own vacation. We have tickets for the NASCAR races in Louden, NH and then we go to Maine for a week with 4 other couples. It used to be fun but it isn't anymore. We love the races and Maine is my favorite place but we have 1 guy who goes who is like a child--I won't go into it here but this will be our last year of going with everyone. Next year we will do the race and then go to another place in Maine.

Karen,
Your family is beautiful. I can't believe Shannon is a year old already but then I can't believe my grands are as old as they are either. Rob and Kris look great - hope that all continues to go well for them - they look really nice together.
Hugs my friend to you and to Jim.
