I still haven't completely emptied the camper but am slowly getting there.  It's just been too HOT for many trips back and forth.  We had an extra day with Shannon as Kristine agreed to meet me halfway last Sunday.  It was bittersweet.  This morning I woke up, looked at the clock and thought "Papa, I wanta watch cartoons!!"  Boy how I miss that little imp.  I can't believe how much she's grown and how smart she is getting.  She can write her name--the S is backwards most of the time but she can write all the letters.  She was very happy to see mommy but didn't miss her until she actually saw her.  It's nice to have a living room not strewn with toys but......
I can't believe how hot this summer is--we haven't had one of these in a few years.  My poor electric bill.....will have to have another job to pay for it if this keeps up.  And trying to finds things for dinner that aren't a lot of work and aren't "heavy".  Tonight is fresh corn locally grown and chicken kabobs from the meat store.  Did BLT's last night--had leaf lettuce from the farmers market and tomatoes.  They were tasty.  
On a sad note I didn't get the position I applied for but there will be another.  In the meantime I think I startled the bosses when they got a call from that manager about me.  I've been offered a temporary position (until they get another position approved) in the training and education part of our department.  I'll still keep the one I have and do this when they need me.  We'll see how things go.  I'm always looking for new skills and this is an opportunity.
