Here we go again..another teacher lost. Mr Nolan was a great teacher, taught English and was a coach too. He touched a lot of lives, I had him his first year of teaching. He had lung cancer, never smoked, they don't know why he got it. He fought for 5 years but finally died this weekend. He touched a lot of lives. His motto was "No excuses, do the work" We learned that well. My prayers are with his family.
In other stuff, we have a new meat store in town--oh boy it's yummy. Went Saturday and bought cowboy beef wraps--beef with pepperoni, capicolla, and provolone wrapped inside and maple bourbon marinated steak tips. Both were very good--tender, great flavor, tonight is Florentine beef wraps. They have a great selection and will cut anything you ask for if you don't see what you want in the butcher case. The chicken selection is wonderful too--huge chicken cordon bleu's, would only need 1 to feed 2 people. They are going to give the other meat market here a run for their money.
Is spring ever coming????? Cold and windy here for days now, at least it's above zero again, not by much but it is. I want to go camping....I want to open windows and air the house out. I want to be outside without a heavy winter jacket on !
I work in the hospital and last Tuesday was apparently yell at Karen day--patients and their families....if something wasn't going right for them it was my fault and I heard about it. I was ready to call in on Wednesday just because, but I went to work and my favorite patient was in--he brings me coffee when he comes in and always has a smile on his face no matter how bad he feels. I've known Mr. K. for oh about 35 years, he was assistant vice principal at the junior high when I was there. What a great man. He made going to work worth it.
Not much else happening here. NASCAR will be starting again in just over a week--at least there will something on TV on the weekends and that does mean spring is coming....
