Aunt Sandy has come through her quad bypass surgery fine. She's in ICU but they expect to move her tomorrow to the step down unit. Thank you all for your prayers.
On a sad note, a woman I have known, it seems like my whole life has passed away. Hazel was a wonderful woman, my parents were friends with her and her husband, Their kids were about the same ages as me and my sister and brothers. Hazel moved to NY from Maine over 50 years ago and she still had that Maine accent that I love. I don't think I ever saw her when she wasn't smiling, she always had a minute to say HI and check up on the family when she saw you out somewhere. They vacationed in Maine for years and especially the last few years we would run into her and her husband somewhere up there. They stayed in the same place and a couple years, either I or my sister would be there too.
Baking today--a new cake recipe, Mocha Fudge cake, it smells delicious already and it's not even out of the oven yet. Not sure what else the weekend will bring but ENJOY everyone.

Karen,
I am glad that Aunt Sandy came through her surgery ok - nothing like going in for one thing and ending up having something else done.
I'm sorry to hear about your friend - lifetime friends are such a blessing. May God comfort her family and friends,
Hugs my friend,
Sue
