WOW is it ever QUIET here....they left about 2 hours ago. Rob and Kristine came last night and had to get back on the road as Rob needs to get some sleep before heading to work at 2am. We had such a great week. We visited with friends, took walks, rode our "bike" in the driveway, went swimming in the Hudson River at the Sandbar Beach, and went under a sprinkler for the first time. She eats like Rob used to--a bottomless pit. Every 2 hours whether she needs to or not. But at least it's good stuff--loves fruit. I miss her already. She and Papa played every afternoon, she would climb up his belly and then he'd drop her back to his lap, what fun they had. Loves the water, getting her out of the bathtub means letting the water out first or she won't get out. Her great gramma (My ex's mom) called yesterday and got to talk to her for the first time--they've never met but I keep her supplied in pictures. The ex's wife was here one afternoon, never saw the ex--but I won't go there. We were actually surprised she slept well in her Big Girl bed...give her a book and put up the gate so she can't fall down the stairs and she talks for a while then falls asleep. I have a great picture of her sleeping in it (you military moms will understand). She sleeps like her daddy--all over the bed, from top to bottom and around again.
I called the kids, asked them to turn that car around and bring her back. They laughed. There's no one here saying "Oh NO" when a TV show ends, no one saying "Moore, Moore" during dinner, "Juice" "Ghank you" etc.....
Back to work tomorrow, at least I'll be busy.
My prayers are with our military as always.
