I've been neglectful lately. Just too busy to do much of anything except work. Relaxed this weekend though. We had friends up, they were doing a craft fair at our civic center here and we went out to dinner with them Friday night, then had them over Saturday night and went out to breakfast yesterday before they left town again. It was so nice to be able to catch up with them...we never see each other anymore, lots of emails and phone calls, but to be able to sit down and relax and actually talk to them......
Work...well....the overtime is kicking in...I had 10 hours in the last 2 weeks and it's going to get worse come February. Of course if Go Live doesn't happen March 1st, it will calm some of that down a little until March cause they'll just move the date till April 1st.
Today was so nice.....it's warm (compared to what it's been) out and the sun is actually shining. I'm wanting SPRING....the flowers blooming, my windows open, fresh air......new beginnings.
We have a retirement party on Saturday night to go to......the kid is younger than I am and he retired from the local police force in December....his oldest brother was in the class ahead of me in high school and his other brother was a year behind me...Jeff was a couple years behind him. Can you imagine.....maybe he's 45 and already retired. He ran for town justice though and won so he had to retire from the police dept cause of the conflict of interest.
