I received an email on Tuesday that my "Aunt" Pat had passed on to the next world.  She wasn't really my aunt--a great friend of my mom's from high school.  She was a wonderful woman--a nurse, had 2 children and 3 grandchildren, traveled extensively with her husband mostly due to his job.  She always had a smile on her face and a kind word about everyone.   I spent some time at her "camp" this summer with her dad - "Bop", she didn't make it there this summer because she had undergone a bone marrow transplant and couldn't leave the hospital.  She loved it up there on the St Lawrence River.  Actually Pat loved being anywhere her family was.  We have lost a wonderful beautiful woman.  Heaven has gained a great angel though and like my brother commented to the family--hope she and mom don't get into too much trouble now that they are together in Heaven.  They both had hearts of gold.

Well I'm getting there, about half of the chocolate covered cream fills are done, the bark is made--still have pb fudge, rest of cream fills and some cookies to make.  The presents are NOT all bought, nothing is wrapped and I'm home feeling like crap.
Everyone at work has been sick - mostly a stomach virus, some colds...me I have a wicked sinus thing going on.  Woke up this morning all stuffy, slight fever but I was teaching a class and so was my boss so really couldn't call in.  Finished class early caught up the paperwork and came home -- jammies are on and thinking about all I need to get done.  At least after tomorrow I'm on vacation for a week.  I do have my Christmas cards finally done, just need to get stamps to get them in the mail.
We have had snow here--not as much as most places though.  On Monday we got about 3-4 inches but cold and slick enough to cause some accidents.  Now it's just FRIGID here---below zero at night and 20's if we're lucky during the day.
Going to lay down and rest till Jim gets home.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi Karen,
Sure hope you are feeling better today - knowing all you have to do doesn't make you feel any better, no doubt. At least you will be on vacation now - a day off wouldn't be a bad idea so you won't be REALLY sick for Christmas.
I'm sorry for your loss...sounds like God has two more angelic mischief makers on His hands. It's okay, I'm sure He'll know what to do. He always seems to have the answers.
Feel better, my friend.
Hugs,
Sue
